From October 7 to 10, Bauru is the venue for the 28th stage of the Paralympic Development Program, an initiative coordinated by the State Departments of Sports and Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This program offers an important opportunity for professionals and students in Physical Education to gain both practical and theoretical experience in Paralympic sports. The course held at Sesc covers multiple disciplines, including athletics, swimming, weightlifting, blind football, adapted volleyball, and table tennis, with wheelchair basketball and goalball newly introduced this year.

Participants who complete the course receive certification recognizing their qualification in the Paralympic sports sector. Since its inception, the program has successfully trained over 3,200 professionals across 27 stages, highlighting its role in bolstering Brazil's capacity to support athletes with disabilities. The program also continues to expand its reach, with the next stage scheduled to be held in Jandira from October 13 to 17.
