Brazil is advancing its international tourism and business presence through key events such as Festuris 2025 in Rio Grande do Sul and the Africa Livestock Exhibition & Congress in Ethiopia. Embratur, Brazil’s Tourism Board, partnered once again for Festuris, the 37th International Tourism Fair held from November 6 to 9, 2025, under the theme ‘Reimagining Tomorrow.’ This event connects brands, destinations, and people to foster tourism development. Marcelo Freixo, president of Embratur, highlighted efforts to internationalize the event by bringing journalists and operators from South America and Portugal to engage in business meetings and training on Brazilian destinations, notably the Serra Gaúcha and Porto Alegre. These efforts align with the significant rise in foreign tourists to Rio Grande do Sul, which recorded 1,288,875 visitors from January to August 2025—a 45.86% increase compared to all of 2024 and a 93.23% growth since 2023.

Simultaneously, the Brazilian Renderers project, spearheaded by the Brazilian Association of Animal Recycling (ABRA) and ApexBrasil, showcased Brazil’s sustainable animal recycling products at the Africa Livestock Exhibition & Congress in Ethiopia from October 30 to November 1. The joint Brazilian pavilion, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Brazilian Embassy, attracted numerous African entrepreneurs and served as a strategic hub for networking and promoting high-quality, traceable, and sustainable products. This mission is part of a broader strategic plan involving upcoming activities in Turkey and South Africa to diversify export markets.

Together, these initiatives demonstrate Brazil’s proactive government-backed strategies to enhance its global tourism appeal and promote its agricultural export sectors, reinforcing its position in international markets.
