Brazil Celebrates Diverse Sporting Events Across Cities in December 2025

In Passo Fundo, the second edition of the Inclusive Festival of Sports and Culture took place on December 12, promoting community engagement and the shared values of coexistence and respect. Emerson Drebes, coordinator for Persons with Disabilities, emphasized the festival's role in reinforcing diversity and inclusion within municipal policies.

In Araras, more than 150 students from the municipal sports department are set to participate in the Festival of Rhythmic Gymnastics and Dance on December 17 at the Nelson Rüegger Gymnasium. The event, showcasing rhythmic gymnastics, ballet, and sacred circular dance, includes participants ranging in age from 4 to 68 years. Sports Secretary Luiz Paulo Franco highlighted the event as a celebration of dedication and hard work, and noted that dance contributes both physical and mental health benefits alongside social interaction.

Santa Catarina remains a hub for athletic achievements: shooting sports athletes delivered strong performances in Florianópolis, and a beach volleyball duo from Navegantes clinched the Brazilian Sub-17 title. Chapecoense also unveiled a new uniform honoring Atlético Nacional, while Flamengo conducted its final training session ahead of the Intercontinental Cup final against PSG, underscoring the region’s dynamic football scene.

Combat sports also captured national attention in 2025, with the Mundo da Luta podcast reviewing a turbulent yet triumphant year.
