In 2025, Brazil is actively fostering sustainable business development through notable initiatives and partnerships both nationally and internationally. A standout event is the Summit Agenda SP+Verde, a pre-COP gathering scheduled for November 4-5 at Parque Villa-Lobos in São Paulo. This summit will convene 67 companies—21 of which are foreign—from countries such as Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Canada, the United States, Latvia, and England. Organized by the São Paulo government in collaboration with the University of São Paulo, the event aims to catalyze sustainable business by connecting startups, established firms, investors, and international contacts. Strategic meetings within four key axes—Green Finance, Resilience and Future Cities, Climate Justice and Sociobiodiversity, and Energy Transition and Decarbonization—will offer participants up to four 20-minute individual sessions to build scalable green partnerships. The event, expected to draw around 5,000 daily attendees, is heavily supported by major corporations and government bodies, as noted by Natália Resende, Secretary of the Environment for São Paulo, who emphasized its role in strengthening the state's green innovation ecosystem (ID 95792).

Meanwhile, Companhia de Saneamento do Paraná (Sanepar) has launched the Hub de Novos Negócios, a digital platform inviting companies nationwide to propose innovative projects in water treatment and sanitation. CEO Wilson Bley highlighted Sanepar's focus on solutions such as water reuse, biogas, and biofertilizers, with recent international collaborations involving Luxembourg, Spain, and Portugal. The platform evaluates proposals based on strategic fit, feasibility, and socio-environmental impact, actively promoting sustainability aligned with economic development goals (ID 95793).

On the international stage, Sebrae showcased its pivotal role in supporting sustainable small businesses at the 2025 Climate Action Week in Baku, Azerbaijan. Vinícius Lages, Sebrae's International Advisory Unit manager, underscored the critical contribution of small enterprises—which constitute 96% of Brazil's companies and generate two-thirds of jobs—to climate solutions. Highlighting accessible financing, practical training, and clear regulations as essential for climate transition, Sebrae also participated in signing the Baku Climate Coalition’s Joint Declaration, reinforcing commitments to green micro and small enterprises ahead of COP30 in Brazil (ID 95799).
