In 2026, several Brazilian cities and states have made significant strides in developing and enhancing sports infrastructure and training programs to promote community engagement and athletic participation.

In Vila Velha, Espírito Santo's state government signed a service order to restructure the Campo Bom de Bola in Retiro do Congo. With an investment of R$ 798,499.87, this project aims to restore the field for community use by installing FIFA-recognized synthetic grass, upgrading fences, benches, goals, nets, and lighting systems. Paulo Marcos Lemos, Secretary of Sports and Leisure, highlighted this initiative as "a direct investment in the quality of life of the population," underlining its role in social inclusion and health promotion.

Umuarama's Municipal Secretary of Sports and Leisure (Smel) expanded its training programs by hiring 18 new specialized coaches, totaling 23 professionals across various sports disciplines, including football, basketball, and gymnastics. The program focuses on nurturing competitive young athletes and includes tailored training for over 1,000 elderly participants, with 60 individuals selected for adapted sports like volleyball and futsal. Secretary Gentil Soares de Lima emphasized the importance of accessible training for youth to foster ongoing athletic interest.

Meanwhile, the city of Gurupi prepared to inaugurate the Skate Park Rômulo Leitão Brito, Northern Brazil's largest skateboarding facility, measuring 1,800 square meters. This R$ 900,000 project funded by Deputy Carlos Gaguim includes amenities such as a grandstand, outdoor gym, playground, and walking area, aiming to celebrate and boost urban sports culture. Named after a local sports pioneer, the park's inauguration is slated for November 2.

Additionally, Joinville scheduled the Encontro Movimenta Joinville event on July 4, featuring free family-friendly activities like stretching classes, dance presentations, sports experiences, and health services, affirming the city's commitment to promoting sports and healthy lifestyles.

These projects collectively demonstrate Brazil's ongoing commitment to investing in modern, inclusive sports facilities and training programs that enhance community well-being and cultivate athletic talent across age groups.
