Brazilian Government and Legislative Assembly Tackle Community Needs with Youth Engagement and Public Service Initiatives

On March 6 and 7, 2026, the 'Governo do Brasil na Rua' initiative brought free public services directly to underserved communities in Teresina, Piauí, highlighting the government's efforts to enhance accessibility and engagement with citizens. This program provides a range of services including medical consultations for those awaiting INSS assessments, workshops on community kitchens, microcredit information, digital literacy workshops, vaccination, health tests, and cultural activities. Animal protector Heryka Araújo appreciated the opportunity to microchip her pets, emphasizing the program's outreach beyond capital cities. Minister Guilherme Boulos stressed the importance of breaking barriers between the government and the public, promoting dialogue with community leaders and greater service accessibility.

Simultaneously, the Legislative Assembly of Paraná is advancing projects targeted at youth engagement and participation, such as 'Geração Atitude,' 'Parlamento Universitário,' and 'Escola do Legislativo.' These initiatives foster involvement and education among young people in political and civic processes. The Assembly is also addressing infrastructure by conducting public hearings to discuss the new toll model in Paraná, facilitated by experts including Professor Dr. Fábio Scatolin and Professor Dr. Eduardo Ratton. A legislative manifesto was also issued concerning the state's highway concessions.
