Brazilian Local Business and Agriculture Boosted by Agrotec Fair, Estações de Negócios, and Fecon Events

Several key events are currently driving business development and agricultural commerce in Brazil as of late August and early September 2026. The Agrotec fair in Porto Velho opened with 259 exhibitors, significantly up from 145 the previous year. It prominently features 113 family farming exhibitors showcasing a wide range of products including fruits, vegetables, handicrafts, and agroindustrial goods. New sections such as animal exhibitions and areas dedicated to coffee, fish farming, and cassava emphasize the diversity and importance of local agriculture. The fair aims to connect producers, businesses, and consumers, enhancing market visibility for local products. International visitors from the U.S. have expressed admiration for the local offerings and hospitality. Mayor Léo Moraes highlighted the event's objective to promote local production and create beneficial marketplaces. Meanwhile, the Estações de Negócios project, hosted by Sebrae together with CCR Metrô Bahia, concluded its activities at Estação Iguatemi on August 27, having delivered business training and guidance focusing on innovation, market strategies, and management to entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners. Future training sessions will continue at Estação Acesso Norte from September 1 to 3. Additionally, Sebrae is offering free workshops on August 29 focused on ESG internal development and the use of artificial intelligence in small business sales, aiming to boost innovation and competitiveness. Looking ahead, the Feira Cocatrel de Negócios (Fecon) will be held in Três Pontas, MG from September 1 to 3. It features a Barter operation allowing producers to use coffee as payment for agricultural goods, providing financial predictability by fixing the coffee amount to be delivered later regardless of market fluctuations. Flávio Guerra, Cocatrel's Commercial Director, underscored the fair's commitment to meeting cooperative members’ needs. Agronomists offering technical assistance and partner booths presenting sector innovations add further value to the event.
