Expointer 2026 Achieves R$6.2 Billion in Business with Record Growth Across Sectors

The 49th edition of Expointer, Brazil's largest agricultural fair held at Parque de Exposições Assis Brasil in Esteio, concluded on September 6, 2026, with a remarkable R$6.185 billion in business transactions, representing a 40% increase compared to the previous year. Over its nine-day run, the event attracted a total of 909,036 visitors, underscoring its importance as a major agribusiness showcase.

Agricultural machinery was the standout sector, driving sales worth R$5.46 billion—a 45% year-on-year growth—solidifying its dominant role in the event’s economic outcomes. Animal sales also saw a significant boost, totaling nearly R$22 million from 7,926 registered animals, marking a 21% rise from the last edition.

The Pavilion of Family Agriculture made a strong impact, with 509 exhibitors generating a record R$14.4 million in sales, a 5.6% increase from 2025. This pavilion featured 400 family agro-industries, alongside artisan ventures, plant and flower exhibitors, and highlighted inclusive participation with 265 young entrepreneurs and 179 women-led enterprises. Organic certification, indigenous, and quilombola businesses were also represented, contributing to the pavilion's diverse and vibrant composition.

Additional sectors also performed well: the automotive sector closed with R$668.76 million in transactions, up 13% from last year, while the arts and crafts segment reported R$2.11 million in sales, reflecting a 5% increase. The event’s success was celebrated by Agriculture Secretary Márcio Madalena and officials during a press conference that also announced the next Expointer will be held from August 28 to September 5, 2027.

These results confirm Expointer's status as a crucial platform for advancing Brazil's agricultural economy, fostering sector growth, and promoting innovative and family-centered agribusiness ventures.
