MasterChef Celebridades Episode 8 Challenges Contestants With Moqueca and Dessert Twist

The eighth episode of MasterChef Celebridades aired on Tuesday, January 6, at 10:20 PM on Band, featuring the five remaining contestants: Dodô, Gilmelândia, Julianne Trevisol, Maurren Maggi, and Valesca Popozuda. The episode began with a high-stakes mystery box challenge requiring each participant to create an original moqueca, a traditional Brazilian fish stew, using a variety of provided ingredients including fish, fruits, and seafood. The contestant who best executed the dish secured the coveted spot as the first semifinalist of the season.

Following the moqueca challenge, the competition transitioned to a dessert elimination round with a compelling twist. Contestants had to prepare their opponent’s favorite dessert, testing their technical ability and emotional connection to the dishes. This round was judged not only by the regular panel of judges Erick Jacquin, Helena Rizzo, and Henrique Fogaça but also by special guest judge Diego Lozano, from MasterChef Confeitaria, who brought additional expertise in pastry to the evaluation process.

Ahead of the dessert challenge, participants engaged in a blind tasting of exotic-flavored cupcakes to gain strategic advantages. The contestant delivering the weakest dessert dish faced elimination, narrowing the competition further. Notably, this episode followed the recent elimination of Rachel Sheherazade.
