The event, which runs until October 3, includes exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and a professions fair aiming to inspire students and the general public about the significance of science in societal transformation. Coordinated by Unicentro and supported by the State Secretariat for Science, Technology, and Higher Education, this year's theme emphasizes 'Science, Technology, and Innovation in Action Against Global Climate Change'.
The opening ceremony underscored the importance of community engagement, with Unicentro's rector, Fábio Hernandes, stating, "This event aims to involve students and highlight the role of innovation in addressing environmental challenges."
