São Paulo and Ubatuba Launch Free Business and Financial Management Courses for Entrepreneurs

The local governments of São Paulo and Ubatuba, in partnership with Sebrae-SP, have recently announced free initiatives to support entrepreneurs by enhancing their business and financial management skills. These programs aim to empower microentrepreneurs and small business owners to sustain and grow their operations amid competitive markets.

São Paulo's “Sampa Empreende: Business Management Course” offers 150 places across five classes, targeting microentrepreneurs with operational businesses regardless of formalization status. Starting November 9 and 10, 2026, the course will feature 14 sessions including 11 in-person classes held twice a week and two online mentoring sessions. Topics include strategic planning, time management, artificial intelligence in business, branding, client communication, financial control, contracts, pricing, tax obligations, and sustainability. A final in-person demo day provides networking opportunities with business partners. Rodrigo Goulart, Secretary of Economic Development and Labor, emphasized the course's role in not just encouraging entrepreneurship creation but also enabling business sustainability, especially in São Paulo's periphery.

Meanwhile, in Ubatuba, Sebrae-SP is offering a series of three free online financial management training sessions scheduled for October 27, October 29, and November 3, 2026, all at 5 PM. These courses include "Make the Right Price and Don't Lose Money," focusing on pricing strategies; "Make the Cash Flow and Know Where Your Money Goes," covering income and expense management; and "Start Your Financial Planning," helping participants organize finances and plan for growth. In-person support is also available at Sebrae Aqui Ubatuba for entrepreneurs seeking additional guidance on formalization, access to credit, and business management.

Both initiatives underscore a comprehensive approach to empowering small businesses through practical education, tailored resources, and direct engagement, aiming to enhance entrepreneurial autonomy and economic vitality in these regions.
