São Paulo is witnessing significant strides in business networking and trade promotion, highlighted by two key events that foster commercial partnerships and boost regional and international commerce.
On October 22, the Centro das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo (Ciesp) will host the Rodada de Negócios event in Santo André, bringing together over 120 suppliers and 39 anchor companies from across the ABC region. Key players such as General Motors, Scania, Volkswagen, and Braskem are set to participate. Eduardo Batistella Mazurkyewistz, Ciesp Santo André's director, underscored the critical role of associativism, saying it opens pathways for businesses that normally might not connect. The format involves pre-scheduled meetings to facilitate direct negotiations, with additional slots for networking if time allows. Post-event, attendees will receive a contact book to sustain ongoing discussions and business prospects. Airton Siste of Ciesp emphasized the event's dual benefit: anchor companies discover new suppliers, and suppliers gain access to large corporations.
In parallel, FecomercioSP, the Federation of Commerce of Goods, Services, and Tourism of São Paulo, recently hosted a delegation from the Zhong Bridge Group of China. The talks focused on expanding bilateral trade and investment opportunities in agribusiness, infrastructure, technology, energy, and construction. Leo Jiang, president of the Chinese group, highlighted China's vast population of 1.4 billion and limited arable land, underpinning its demand for Brazilian agricultural commodities such as copper, sugar, soybeans, beans, sesame, and notably chicken protein, including chicken feet, which are popular in China. The delegation expressed interest in collaborative infrastructure projects, including railways, roads, and energy, and partnerships with technology and automation manufacturers. FecomercioSP’s vice president, Rubens Medrano, stressed the importance of leveraging the federation's extensive union network to prioritize projects and convert institutional relations into substantive business ventures.
These initiatives underscore São Paulo's strategic efforts to enhance regional business networks and deepen Brazil-China cooperation, driving commercial growth and international investment.
