Southern Brazil Gears Up for Major Innovation and Business Events in 2026

Southern Brazil is set to host two significant events celebrating innovation and business in late 2026. Porto Alegre will be the venue for the 5th Semana Caldeira from September 21 to 25, at the Instituto Caldeira, transforming the city into the region's innovation hub. The event, themed "Inovar é saber ver," inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's ability to discern important information, features more than 300 free activities and over 400 speakers from 12 countries, including executives from iFood, Gerdau, Mercado Livre, and global innovators like Uri Levine, co-founder of Waze. Hosted across two buildings in the Navegantes neighborhood, Semana Caldeira focuses on innovation, digital commerce, AI in healthcare, and youth engagement with free programming available upon registration. Workshops, the only paid sessions, complement the event’s expansive agenda aimed at fostering community involvement and business networking.

Meanwhile, Tenente Portela prepares for the 5th Feira Negócios Daqui – Multisector Edition scheduled from November 6 to 8. Registration for the reserve list remains open until September 25, targeting local businesses in commerce, industry, services, agro-industry, micro-entrepreneurs, rural producers, artisans, and creative economy workers with active CNPJs. Though registration does not guarantee participation, the event is free for both exhibitors and visitors, excluding vendors of ready-to-eat foods. Organized by ACISA and Emater-Ascar, the Feira aims to strengthen local business connections and community engagement. Together, these events underscore Southern Brazil's dynamic push toward innovation and economic development in 2026.
