Supercopa Rei 2026 Set for February 1 in Brasília Featuring Flamengo vs. Corinthians

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has confirmed that the Supercopa Rei 2026 will be held on February 1, 2026, at the Arena BRB Mané Garrincha in Brasília. This marquee match will pit Flamengo, the 2025 Campeonato Brasileiro champion, against Corinthians, the 2025 Copa do Brasil champion, reigniting a historic rivalry between two of Brazil’s top football clubs.

Originally scheduled for January 24, the match was rescheduled following consultations with the Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo football federations, affecting the teams’ state championship fixtures as well. Both Flamengo and Corinthians will now adjust their calendars to accommodate this high-profile encounter, which also kicks off the 2026 football season.

The Arena BRB Mané Garrincha will be divided equally to host fans from both clubs, maintaining neutrality and fairness. This event carries significant prestige, as the Supercopa Rei crowns the super champion of Brazilian football each year by bringing together the winners of the Brasileirão and the Copa do Brasil.

The Supercopa was reactivated in 2020 after a long hiatus since 1992, and in 2024, it was renamed to honor Pelé, the legendary football icon who passed away in December 2022, symbolizing the crown of national football.

Flamengo arrives as the defending Supercopa champion, having triumphed 3-1 over Botafogo in the 2025 final.
