Unioeste Showcases Agribusiness Research and Innovation at 38th Show Rural Coopavel

The Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (Unioeste) is set to participate for the fifth consecutive year in the 38th edition of the Show Rural Coopavel, the largest agribusiness event in Latin America, held from February 9 to 13 at the Parque Tecnológico Agroindustrial in Cascavel. The university will exhibit its scientific knowledge and research in a 200-square-meter stand, expecting around 5,000 visitors. This year’s theme, "The Strength That Comes From Within," emphasizes a strong agro-industrial economy.

Unioeste will present projects from its five campuses across Paraná, including fields such as Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, and Zootecnia, along with initiatives from the Secretaria de Estado da Ciência e Tecnologia (Seti) and Fundação Araucária. The focus is on advancing technology, community engagement, strategic partnerships, and disseminating research to strengthen links between academia and the agribusiness sector.

Dillvo Grolli, president of Coopavel, praised Unioeste’s vital role in producing agricultural knowledge with practical applications for producers, expressing gratitude for the university’s contributions. Rector Alexandre Almeida Webber highlighted Unioeste’s crucial role in bridging scientific research and agribusiness to foster innovation and sustainable technology transfer.

Highlights of Unioeste’s participation include showcasing innovative projects such as electric tractors and aquaculture, and reinforcing connections with the productive sector. The event also includes Show Rural Digital, emphasizing the digital transformation of agribusiness, with Unioeste serving not only as an exhibitor but as a hub for learning and new concepts.
