Youth and Women's Futsal Tournaments Highlight Brazilian Sports Scene in 2026

Two major futsal tournaments are underway in Brazil, showcasing youth and women's participation and regional collaboration in sports. On August 15, 2026, Cajamar will open the 3rd Cioeste Sports Circuit for youth futsal at the Polvilho Sports Gym. This event features teams from ten municipalities, including Araçariguama, Barueri, and Itapevi, with matches in categories ranging from Sub-10 to Sub-16. The first game will be between Cajamar, defending champion in the Sub-13 male category, and Itu in the Sub-12 A category at 8:30 AM. Over the day, a total of ten matches will be played, supported by the Cajamar City Hall’s Sports, Leisure and Culture Department. This tournament forms part of a larger initiative by the Cioeste Consortium to foster integrated sports among the participating municipalities. Meanwhile, on October 13, at the Circuito Esportivo Mossoroense (CEM) 2026 in Mossoró, both futsal and urban football matches will take place. Notably, the evening will feature the first women's futsal match between Impacto Futsal and JBFC, demonstrating an increased emphasis on female athlete participation. The men's futsal teams, including Time Horrível and TG Milan, will complete their first-round matches before the women’s kickoff. Football matches will also occur concurrently, with Raiz FC facing La Boca, and Atlético Mossoroense defending their title against Santa Fé. Organized by the Prefeitura de Mossoró and the Secretaria Municipal de Esporte e Lazer (Sesporte), this sports circuit engages multiple city teams, promoting diverse and inclusive competition.
