At the 2025 Entrepreneur Fair held at the Ceará Events Center, Sebrae/CE showcased a model Entrepreneur Room, demonstrating its pivotal role in strengthening small businesses and promoting entrepreneurship across Ceará municipalities. This initiative aims to ensure each of the state's 184 municipalities has at least one Entrepreneur Room by the end of 2026, facilitating business opening, formalization, and growth. Currently, Ceará leads Brazil with 31 Entrepreneur Rooms certified with the Diamond Seal of Reference in Service, totaling about 170 rooms in 162 municipalities. This widespread presence reflects Ceará’s leadership in reducing bureaucracy and fostering a more formal and supportive environment for small enterprises.
Gerd Muller, a Sebrae/CE analyst, highlighted the success of collaborative efforts among Sebrae, municipalities, and entrepreneurs, stating, "Ceará has shown that when there is partnership, results appear. The Entrepreneur Rooms are a public policy that transforms territories and generates new opportunities for those who believe in their potential."
In parallel, a free course on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital presence for small business entrepreneurs is set to run from October 23 to 30, 2025. Offered through a partnership between Sebrae, Google, and Alura, this course targets micro and small business owners with beginner to intermediate tech skills, aiming to accelerate their digitalization. Participants will learn to use tools like Google Gemini and Google Business Profile to enhance online visibility and develop marketing strategies tailored to local businesses.
Eduardo Curado, Sebrae’s manager, emphasized the importance of AI in boosting visibility and sales for small businesses. The course, which follows a successful first edition with 50,000 participants, covers practical topics such as year-end sales opportunities, Google profile optimization, and applying AI in marketing and financial management. Enrollment remains open until October 23, underscoring the commitment to empower Ceará’s entrepreneurs with essential knowledge and resources.
Together, these initiatives underscore Ceará’s dynamic approach to fostering an ecosystem that supports entrepreneurship through public policy innovation and digital education.
