Children's Theater Brings Latin American Culture to Santa Teresa While ONIVEL Festival Blends Football and Music in São Paulo

In Santa Teresa, Teatro Ruth de Souza will host "As Aventuras de Quitapena," a children's theatrical performance every weekend in September 2026. Created by Paty Lopes, this 45-minute show draws from indigenous oral traditions and features two characters — the Quitapena dolls, Quetzal, a giant territorial bird from Central America, and Tica, a Cuban cat — guiding the audience through a vibrant journey across Latin America. The play integrates animation, shadow theater, and music to foster cultural storytelling and emotional reflection in children. Independent and award-winning, it won Best Street Show in 2025 and offers O GLOBO subscribers a 50% ticket discount.

Meanwhile, São Paulo launched ONIVEL Festivais, a new entertainment platform designed to merge Brazilian football with music and culture. This initiative aims to transform club fanbases into year-round cultural communities by hosting festivals celebrating clubs' histories and identities. The platform plans to organize six festivals in 2026 and expand to 15-20 in 2027, engaging major clubs including Amazonas FC, Avaí, and Ceará. Entertainment at the launch included a performance by international artist Jason Derulo. Co-founder Alessandro Valente emphasized ONIVEL’s mission to deepen club-fan-brand relationships beyond match days and promote social impact projects tied to education and community engagement.
