Lucas do Rio Verde Expands Support for Small Entrepreneurs Through New Partnership

The Prefeitura de Lucas do Rio Verde and the Câmara de Dirigentes Lojistas (CDL) have teamed up to bolster support for small businesses, particularly Microempreendedores Individuais (MEIs), through the Sala do Empreendedor. This initiative was formalized at the 4th Business Workshop of CDL Lucas and focuses on aiding entrepreneurs in starting, regularizing, and growing their enterprises.

Key aspects include improving access to credit via partnerships with financial institutions like Desenvolve MT and Sicredi, which offer microcredit lines specifically tailored for small entrepreneurs. The Sala do Empreendedor assists business owners in preparing credit proposals and navigating the application process to enhance approval chances. Danilo Messias, the Secretary of Economic Development, Planning, and City, highlighted the importance of providing guidance right from the inception of a business, stating, "Everyone starts small, and our role is to welcome them at the Sala do Empreendedor, guide them, and have the expectation that they advance to a constituted company."

The partnership is also designed to support entrepreneurs transitioning from MEI status as their business grows. Petronílio de Sousa, president of CDL Lucas, emphasized signing a formal contract ensures accountability and strengthens the commitment between the city and business community.

The Sala do Empreendedor offers free services including business registration, regularization, MEI formalization, training, and credit support. It operates Monday through Thursday from 7 AM to 3 PM and Fridays until 1 PM. This expanded support is expected to positively impact the local economy by empowering small entrepreneurs with essential resources and guidance.
