Coinciding with this growth, the Feira de Tecnologias, Engenharias e Ciências de Mato Grosso do Sul (FETECMS) 2025 opened on October 19 at UFMS in Campo Grande. The event features approximately 500 students and teachers from public schools across 23 municipalities participating through the PICTEC program, presenting 100 scientific projects. Fundect has supported their participation by providing transportation, lodging, and meals, particularly for rural attendees. The fair cultivates interaction between young researchers and seasoned scientists and celebrates innovation with awards recognizing outstanding projects. Camila Ítavo, rector of UFMS, emphasized Fundect's essential role in expanding research opportunities and fostering scientific advancement in the state.

These developments underscore Mato Grosso do Sul's growing commitment to science and technology, nurturing the next generation of researchers and reinforcing regional research infrastructure through sustained investment and inclusive programs.
