New Credit Program and AI Tools Empower Small Businesses in Brazil

Small businesses in Brazil are receiving renewed support through two major initiatives aimed at enhancing financial access and operational efficiency.

The municipality of Sinimbu has been approved to participate in a specialized credit program designed to support small enterprises, microentrepreneurs, and rural producers. This program offers loans of up to R$ 100,000 with a competitive interest rate of 1.65% per month and a repayment term of up to 36 months. Managed by the Regional Development Council of Vale do Rio Pardo (COREDE-VRP) and backed by the Rio Grande do Sul state government alongside partners such as SEBRAE, RS Garanti, Sicredi, and Sicoob, the initiative focuses on enabling small business growth and local economic development. Interested applicants need to register online, providing personal identification and proof of income documents.

In parallel, Google has expanded its Gemini platform with new artificial intelligence tools specially designed to assist small businesses. Unveiled at the 15th Sebrae-SP Entrepreneur Fair on October 20, the updates include AI-powered features for marketing campaign creation, visual identity design, and financial data analysis. A newly introduced dedicated business page within the Gemini app centralizes these resources, facilitating ease of access. Integration with Google services such as Google Business Profile and Google Ads, as well as third-party applications like Canva and Wix, allows microentrepreneurs to develop customized marketing materials with a consistent visual style using the Nano Banana 2.1 image generation model. Financial tools help convert spreadsheets and purchase records into clear, visual reports, aiding decision-making. Google emphasizes that these tools should supplement rather than replace professional consultations. The Gemini Enterprise version remains available for larger companies requiring more comprehensive AI solutions.
