Marina Ruy Barbosa Denies Affair Rumors with Footballer Vini Jr.

Brazilian actress Marina Ruy Barbosa has publicly denied ongoing rumors suggesting a romantic affair with footballer Vini Jr., emphasizing that such speculation is "pure sensationalism." In a statement released on October 28, 2026, Marina clarified that her connection to Vini Jr. is purely social and neighborly, not romantic.

Marina explained that she has followed Vini Jr. on social media for several years, particularly to support him following incidents where he faced racism. Additionally, Vini Jr., a 26-year-old forward for the Brazilian national team and Real Madrid, lives near Marina’s parents, which she noted as an important factor in dismissing the affair rumors. Her mother, Gioconda Ruy Barbosa, also addressed the speculation, stating on social media, "The Vini Jr. is my neighbor! We live on the same street."

The rumors escalated following Vini Jr.’s recent breakup with influencer Virginia Fonseca and reports of a possible crisis in Marina’s engagement to businessman Abdul Fares. Despite these reports, Marina stressed there is no confirmed end to her engagement, which was scheduled to culminate in a wedding in France in March 2027.

By confronting the widespread media speculation, Marina Ruy Barbosa has sought to clarify misconceptions surrounding her personal life and reaffirm her commitment amid external distractions. As of now, no further updates have been announced regarding her relationship status.
